Academics is seeking Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants for short and long term roles across Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire. Roles offer varied school-based experience, with flexible patterns to suit work-life balance and those returning to work.

Strong placement history into permanent roles after long-term supply is highlighted, with DBS requirements and travel to partnership schools likely. Daily rate depends on experience and client rates.

Competenze

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• Calm, resilient and able to remain consistent under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and implement clear structures and routines.
• Empathetic, flexible and committed to long-term learner support.

Mansioni

• Provide high quality 1:1 and/or small group support/interventions for learners with SEN needs.
• Support learners to develop essential skills, build social connections and engage in learning.
• Implement tailored strategies to promote emotional regulation, resilience and independence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO and external agencies as needed.
• Assist the class teacher in adapting activities and resources.
