Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Tunbridge Wells
Salary: £ per day
Hours: Full-time
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Tunbridge Wells area. This role is essential for supporting the educational development of students, working closely with experienced teachers.

Responsibilities:
  • Personalised Support: Provide individualized learning activities, one-on-one assistance, and small group sessions.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Assist teachers in creating an engaging and welcoming classroom environment by preparing and organizing materials and resources to inspire a love for learning.
  • Inclusive Environment: Ensure a safe and inclusive learning space that promotes the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
  • Behavior Management: Help manage student behavior and encourage positive social interactions.
  • Progress Monitoring: Aid in assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working with SEN children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  • Passion for Learning: A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Patience and Resilience: The ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations.
  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training.
