Job summary

Priory School in Lewes, East Sussex, seeks Teaching Assistants for a fixed term from September/October 2026 to July 2027. Working Monday to Friday 8:30am–3:15pm, 30 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks plus 6.05 weeks leave).

The post involves supporting individuals and groups of students, with experience of Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties welcomed. DBS enhanced clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
• Experience with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties is advantageous.
• Interest in supporting Maths is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to individuals and groups of students.
• Assist teachers in daily classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Support students with Dyslexia and/or Speech and Language difficulties as needed.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare in line with policies.
