Are you a qualified Level 3 SEN TA looking for a new challenge in Birmingham?

I am currently recruiting for a strong Teaching Assistant for a school in Sutton Coldfield. This role will support a child with behavioural issues in Year 2, on a full-time, one-to-one basis. The position is due to start in September and could potentially last a full academic year for the successful candidate.

Communication skills are vital for all children, helping them express their needs and wants. This fosters better behaviour, learning, and socialisation.

The school provides a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to lead their own learning. You will promote this ethos through guided learning sessions and creative interventions.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis
  • Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years
