Are you a qualified Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge in Birmingham?

I am currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a school in Sutton Coldfield. This role involves supporting a child with behavioural issues in Year 2 on a full-time, one-to-one basis. The position is due to start in September and could potentially last for a full academic year.

Effective communication skills are essential for all children, as they help children express their needs and wants, which in turn supports their behaviour, learning, and socialisation.

The school offers a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to lead their own learning. You will promote this ethos through guided learning sessions and creative interventions.

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  1. Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
  2. Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis
  3. Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential
  4. Excellent working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  5. Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years
