Job summary

Bracken Hill School in Kirkby-in-Ashfield is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and build confidence in a safe, inclusive environment.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated activities, support EHCP targets, and promote positive behaviour while safeguarding pupils. An Enhanced DBS is required or willing to obtain one. This is a full-time term-time role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students one-to-one and in small groups inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist teachers with engaging differentiated learning activities.
• Help pupils achieve EHCP targets and promote positive behaviour.
• Build relationships with pupils, families and colleagues and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals to secure best outcomes.
