Job summary

INDEDU is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in the LS12 area of Leeds. You will work with teachers and the SEN team to provide individual and small-group support for pupils with additional needs, both inside and outside the classroom.

The role emphasizes patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt support to each child, with September interviews and a salary of £24,000–£26,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN or additional needs.
• Graduate with a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Childhood Studies, Childcare or related subjects.
• Patient, calm, resilient with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN.
• Support pupils with learning and development.
• Work with small groups on targeted interventions.
• Help pupils manage behaviour and emotions.
• Support pupils inside and outside of the classroom.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff.
