Job Details

Location: Central Sheffield, near the train station
Pay Rate: £85 – £100 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
Type: Full-time, immediate start, until end of academic year with potential extension

Role Overview

Supporting students with SEN such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs. Working under the guidance of teachers and support staff to promote emotional, social, and academic development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist with personalised learning plans
  • Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Support with personal care and sensory needs if required
  • Encourage independence and confidence
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs
  • Maintain safeguarding standards
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience with children with SEN (essential)
  • Calm, caring, patient demeanor
  • Confidence in managing behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible, proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
