1:1 Teaching Assistant – Elevate Supply, Primary Schools in South Sheffield

Elevate Supply is currently working with primary schools in South Sheffield who are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.

The Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in a student's day-to-day school life by providing tailored support to meet their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Classroom support: Assisting with activities, organisation, student engagement, and emotional support
• Support in therapy sessions: Helping students with additional support needs
• Break/Lunch time supervision: Ensuring students are safe and supported during these times
• Keeping progress reports: Monitoring and recording the student's development and progress

To be considered for the role of 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• An enthusiastic and attentive personality
• An understanding of special educational needs (SEN)
• Experience working with children or in a support capacity
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferable but not essential)
• Experience in an educational or school environment (preferable but not essential)

Additional Information:

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30am - 3:30pm (with potential for additional hours and responsibilities outside of these times)
• DBS check required: All applicants will be subject to background checks and must have a current DBS certificate (update service registered)
