SEN Teaching Assistant – South East London

What You’ll Be Doing:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, helping them overcome barriers and reach their goals.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals to implement and adapt learning plans, including EHCPs.

Assist with personal care, communication, and daily routines while fostering students’ independence and motivation.

Adapt instructional materials and deliver catch-up sessions to meet diverse learning needs.

Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment and support children’s social and emotional development.

What We’re Looking For:

Recent experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.

Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong numeracy and literacy skills, excellent communication, empathy, patience, and flexibility.

A positive, proactive approach, capable of working under teacher supervision within a collaborative team.

A calm, nurturing manner and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
