Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with a student with hearing impairment in a primary school in Lewisham. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 BSL certificate and have experience working with SEN students. This is a long-term position, starting September 2025, with hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experienced Teaching Assistant.
• Holds a Level 2 BSL certificate.
• Must have an in-date DBS or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support a student with a hearing impairment on a 1:1 basis.
• Assist in a small class setting.
• Work term time only, Monday to Friday.

Remedy Education are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant that holds a Level 2 BSL certificate, the role is to work in one of our lovely SEN Secondary schools based in South East London.

The role:

• 1:1 with a student with a hearing impairment
• Working with this student within a small class setting
• Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Term Time only
• Lewisham, South East London
• Long term position
• Starting ASAP

The successful candidate:

• An experienced Teaching Assistant
• Ideally experience working with SEN students
• Holds a level 2 BSL certificate
• Looking for long term, full time, term time only work
• Will hold an in date DBS registered on the update service or be willing to obtain one
