Teaching Assistant (Resource Base)
Long-term teachers are working with a fantastic multi-academy trust based in Salisbury, seeking a passionate, confident teaching assistant to join their resource base. The school is a mainstream environment with a dedicated resource base supporting a small number of students with SEN.

About the role:
There are up to 10 students in the resource base, allowing you to build rapport with each, becoming a positive role model and mentor. You will work alongside a class teacher who plans, delivers, and marks lessons, while you support activity preparation and have opportunities to devise creative activities. You will lead small group interventions and 1:1 support, so confidence, assertiveness, and patience are essential to manage the environment effectively.
The students' needs include learning, social, emotional, and mental health support, along with managing challenging behaviour. Previous experience supporting these needs is essential to assess and provide appropriate support.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, during term time only, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The position is available to start as soon as possible, with a contract for 38 weeks per year.
