Job summary

Protocol Education Limited in Tower Hamlets, East London, is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to help pupils access learning, develop confidence and progress academically and socially.

Working hours are 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday. The role is suitable for an experienced TA or someone looking to develop a career in SEN within a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEN needs within the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Help pupils engage with lessons and school activities.
• Support pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
• Implement individual learning and support strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
