Job summary

Milk Education are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Hounslow. The role involves supporting pupils who may need extra help with learning, communication and behaviour.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils access lessons, and contribute to developing confidence, independence and social skills. Previous experience with children is preferred, and SEN exposure is desirable for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• SEN experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
• Patient, calm and approachable.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Reliable and committed to supporting children's development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support children to access lessons and take part in classroom activities.
• Help develop pupils' confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist with managing behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Create a positive and encouraging environment for pupils.
