Axcis Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Preston, Lancashire. The role supports pupils with a range of needs, working with the SENCO and teachers to implement tailored strategies and monitor progress, ensuring an inclusive classroom where every child can progress.

The position offers full-time or part-time hours, with a daily rate from £93 depending on experience. An enhanced DBS and commitment to ongoing professional development are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, preferably with SEN.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum and SEN challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsabilités

• Support learning objectives for individuals or small groups with EHCPs.
• Collaborate with SENCO and teachers to plan and implement strategies.
• Monitor progress and adapt support to learning styles.
• Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and social integration.
• Assist with learning resources and materials for SEN pupils.
• Participate in training and development activities.
• Engage with parents and contribute to EHCP reviews.
