Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Chertsey to support children with a range of special educational needs. This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with experienced staff in a welcoming specialist primary setting.

The successful candidate will assist pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning, build communication skills and develop independence, while addressing emotional and sensory needs in a safe classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, patient and passionate about helping children with additional needs
• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or related role is beneficial
• Graduate applications welcome for careers in SEN education, teaching, psychology, therapy or child development

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Help children access learning at their individual level
• Encourage communication, independence and social development
• Support pupils with their emotional and sensory needs
• Work closely with teachers and other SEN professionals
• Help create a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment
