Job summary

Vision For Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis conducting 1:1 support to a Year 1 student. The school requires an experienced Teaching Assistant who works well with children with Autism and additional needs to start as soon as possible.

This Teaching Assistant role is a full-time, long-term position based around the Kidderminster area, with 1:1 support and a focus on SEND.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with SEND.
• Suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND.
• Strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
• Be able to work as part of a team and handle occasional behavioural challenges.
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

About you:

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Have previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with a range of special educational needs.
• Suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is highly desirable.
• Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
• Be able to work as part of a team and be confident dealing with occasional behavioural challenges
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
