Vision For Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis conducting 1:1 support to a Year 1 student. The school requires an experienced Teaching Assistant who works well with children with Autism and additional needs to start as soon as possible.

The school is based around the Sandwell area. To be considered you will have experience with primary-aged children and SEND, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary-aged children and SEND.
• DBS check and suitable references required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 student.
• Support learning with a child-centred approach.
• Monitor and address behaviour with safeguarding in mind.
• Collaborate with the school team and obtain references/ DBS.

About you:

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Have previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with a range of special educational needs.
• Suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is highly desirable.
• Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
• Be able to work as part of a team and be confident dealing with occasional behavioural challenges
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
