Vision for Education are recruiting an Autism Support Assistant to work in a vibrant primary SEND setting in Pickering. You will support children aged 8–19 with SEND in daily activities, helping them access learning in a nurturing environment.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with pay between £95 and £110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. There are opportunities for a permanent contract and a January 2027 start.

Autism Support Assistant, Pickering, pay £95 - £110 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Vision for Education are recruiting for an Autism Support Assistant to work in a a vibrant, nurturing, and ambitious school community where every young person is valued, celebrated, and supported to thrive. The school caters for learners aged 8 – 19 with SEND and is a specialist setting for Autism. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), starting as soon as possible, with the potential to lead to a permanent contract. We also have positions available for a January 2027 start as well, so whether you are available now or planning ahead for the new academic year, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements:

To be considered for the Autism Support Assistant position, the school have asked for:

• Someone who has worked with children, young people or vulnerable adults in any capacity
• Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Someone with great patience, drive and determination
• Someone looking to extend and expand their skillset

All staff will undergo thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
