Qualifications

• Expérience préalable dans le soutien des élèves ayant des besoins particuliers.
• Capacité à travailler de manière autonome.
• Être titulaire d'un certificat DBS amélioré ou être prêt à en faire la demande.

Responsibilities

• Soutenir les élèves avec une gamme de besoins additionnels, en travaillant sur une base 1:1.
• Assister le professeur de classe dans les activités quotidiennes.

Job description

Smile Education have a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-established team on a flexible basis, within a SEN Primary school in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
The role will include supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). You will be working on a 1:1 basis with several of the pupils, offering the highest level of support in their academic, social and emotional development.

• Working independently and as part of a wider team
• Supporting Class Teacher in daily activities
• Immediate Start available
• Working Hours 8.15am – 3.30pm
• Term time only
• Opportunity for long-term role

About You:

• Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Prior experience supporting SEN pupils
• Confident in working independently
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Able to travel to Tamworth
• Be able to provide references covering the last 2 years
• Hold an enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
