"Our daughter's achievements are nothing short of extraordinary. It isn't just the teaching and expertise that needs highlighting - it is reflecting on what an adult life would have looked like for her without these skills." (School Parent 2023)

If you have a positive attitude, patience, and resilience, this role would be perfect for you!

This school offers an amazing range of benefits:

  • £1000 bonus upon joining to help you bridge the gap between roles
  • Part-time option available (3 or 4 days)
  • Regular salary progression based on completion of training
  • Rare career progression in an unqualified route - opportunities to move to a Lead Teacher and Class Supervisor role without the need for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Fully funded and supported training and continuing personal development programme (based on the principles of behaviour analysis)
  • Opportunity to work with different age groups and abilities
  • 44 days holiday
  • Term-time only, evenings or weekends
  • Free onsite parking
  • Your own dedicated and experienced consultant to guide you through the application process

Your role would include:

  • Providing teaching and support to pupils with autism, following individualised curriculums

  • Supporting pupils' participation in trips, applying theory-based learning to practice
  • Providing behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
  • Providing personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene (toileting, feeding)
  • Monitoring pupil progress, ensuring teaching is appropriate and effective for pupil needs
  • Assisting with breaktime duties including playground support and snack time

Skills and capabilities:
