Job summary

Primcura Education is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to provide vital support to children with a variety of special educational needs in partner schools across the region. You'll contribute to both academic and social development in a nurturing environment.

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and leaders, you will adapt resources, implement IEPs, and help learners build confidence, independence, and personalised progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN or other learning needs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech/language difficulties.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school team while taking initiative when needed.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN, tailoring assistance to their individual needs.
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support programs designed by teachers and specialists.
  • Adapt classroom resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in students.
  • Liaise closely with teaching staff, therapists, and school leadership to share insights and track progress.
  • Observe, record, and report on student achievements and challenges to inform ongoing support strategies.
