Job summary

Long Term Futures in partnership with a small specialist school in the Newark area is seeking two Teaching Assistants on a Temp to Perm contract. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment for learners with diverse needs, including autism and SEMH.

The school emphasises safeguarding, inclusive education, and a curriculum focused on emotional wellbeing and meaningful engagement.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in education, childcare, or health & social care.
• Experience in a special school, SEN unit, or SEND role.
• Confidence supporting pupils with autism, SEMH, and communication needs.
• Calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help create a calm, structured, nurturing learning environment.
• Support emotional wellbeing and meaningful engagement within the curriculum.
• Work as part of a dedicated team with safeguarding in mind.
