Ashley Park School in Epsom, Surrey, seeks a caring Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. You will work with students with additional needs, providing 1:1 and group support, helping them engage with learning and progress toward goals.

We offer induction, ongoing training, and a commitment to safeguarding. The role is 37.5 hours per week, term-time only, with a permanent contract starting November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Willingness to complete induction, mandatory training and professional development.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support to help students engage with learning and work towards individual goals.
• Build positive, trusting relationships to help students feel safe and ready to learn.
• Support teachers to deliver engaging, personalised learning activities.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing with calm, consistent support.
• Plan and deliver individualised activities and support strategies for student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals for consistent support.
