Job summary

Rural Lancashire Primary School is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with ASD and additional needs. The role combines 1:1 support and general classroom assistance within a warm, nurturing environment.

You will work closely with teachers and other TAs to adapt activities, encourage communication and social development, and help pupils access literacy and numeracy in a forest-embedded countryside setting.

Qualifications

• Psychology graduate or related experience encouraged to apply.
• Valid driving licence and own car essential.
• Understanding of Autism advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support children with ASD and additional needs through 1:1 and classroom support.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation and participation.
• Adapt activities to individual learning needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and social development.
