GSL Education are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students in Newham, E16. Roles include 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism and other learning needs. Immediate starts available and DBS checks are required for safer recruitment.

Ideal candidates will have prior SEN experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping students build confidence, independence and academic progress.

Competenze

• Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Able to support pupils who have autism or other learning needs.
• Basic understanding of child development and strategies to support children.
• Knowledge and ability to implement SEN/ASD support strategies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Newham, E16

Salary Scale: up to £110 a day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Temp to Perm

About SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

• Working closely with teachers to support students with a range of special educational needs.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help students reach their full potential.
• Supporting students with Autism (ASD), communication difficulties and additional learning needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and engagement in classroom activities.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Helping students develop their academic, social and emotional skills.

Ideal candidates will:

• Have previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Be able to support pupils who havespecial educational needs, including Autism and additional learning needs.
• Have basic understanding of childhood development and steps to support children
• Have knowledge and able to implement strategies to support SEN/ASD children
• Have Good communication and interpersonal skills.
