Hays Education is working with a specialist school in Loughborough that is looking for a new Teaching Assistant for the Summer Term. The school provides excellent education for pupils with needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a temporary, term-time only position to start as soon as possible.
This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school in Loughborough offers an innovative curriculum and support from specialist staff, including teachers, speech and language therapists, and NHS professionals. The school has excellent facilities, including outdoor spaces and sensory rooms. You will join a dedicated team prioritizing pupils' needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting your approach to each child's needs. You will make a positive impact on children with diverse care needs, life experiences, and personalities. Ongoing support will be provided by your Hays consultant, Hollie.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with pupils with complex medical or physical disabilities, preferably in education. Ability to adapt to different age groups and support children with communication and sensory needs. Confident in new environments and building relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
