Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term contracted position in Reigate. You will provide individualised support to students on the autism spectrum, helping them succeed in daily learning activities and adapting instruction to meet diverse needs.

Experience with SEN pupils (3-6 months) or transferable skills from care or support work is valued, along with an understanding of autism and related disabilities. DBS clearance or willingness to undertake one is required.

Qualifications

• Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries (care or support work).
• Understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
• Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students on the autism spectrum to help them succeed in daily learning activities.
• Assist with behaviour management and adapting instructions to suit learning needs.

SEN Teaching Assistant: Long Term Contract

We are searching for a teaching assistant to join an award-winning specialist school in Reigate, on a long term contracted basis.

In this role, you will provide individualised support to students on the autism spectrum, particularly those with high-functioning autism and other disabilities, helping them succeed in their daily learning environment.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:30

Requirements

The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.

Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.

Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries e.g. care or support work.

An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.

Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.
