GSL Education is assisting a Lewisham school in finding a SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. The role runs 8:30 am–4:30 pm, is long-term/full-time, and offers a daily rate of £105–£120. The successful candidate will support ASD/SEN children, work on a 1:1 basis, and be flexible across KS1–KS2.

Requirements include a valid DBS on the update service, 2–3 references, and proof of right to work in the UK with NI and address verification. Lewisham-based placement starting September 2026.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ASD/SEN children.
  • Recent primary school-based experience.
  • Able to support SEN on a 1:1 basis.
  • Able to support different children with a range of SEN needs.
  • Able to be flexible and work across KS1-KS2.
  • A valid DBS registered on the update service.
  • 2-3 professional references covering a minimum of 2-3 years of employment history.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Proof of national insurance.
  • Proof of address (dated within the last three months).

Responsibilities

  • Support children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • Assist across KS1 to KS2 as required by class needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement SEN plans.
