Job summary

Greenfield Primary Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs. You will help develop targeted resources and work with staff to remove learning barriers, while liaising with parents to support student progress.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 TA or equivalent, plus literacy and numeracy at Level 1, and completion of the DfE TA Induction Programme within the first term.

Qualifications

• Commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Ability to develop learning resources that scaffold learning.
• Understanding of how children learn and how to support them.
• Experience with children of relevant age and liaison with parents.
• Good literacy and numeracy to Level 1 of the NLQF.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering learning activities tailored to SEN students.
• Create and adapt teaching resources to support learning.
• Monitor progress and report to senior staff and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers to remove barriers to learning.
• Maintain effective communication with carers and school staff.
