Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS2 (Year 4 transitioning to Year 5) at a welcoming primary school in Barnet. The role starts in September and focuses on consistency, structure and progress in the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have SEN experience (ADHD, Autism, Global Developmental Delay), be patient and resilient, and work well with a team to implement behaviour strategies and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN (ADHD, Autism, Global Delay) and delivering 1:1 support.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach to learners and colleagues.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to implement behaviour strategies and adapt learning activities.
• Engaging and consistent in building relationships with pupils, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 SEN support for a pupil in KS2 (Year 4 moving to Year 5).
• Support pupil engagement, regulation and progress in class.
• Contribute to a structured, nurturing learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SLT to adapt learning plans.

We are working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Barnet seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a team player with an outgoing personality who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

The role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil currently in Year 4, moving into Year 5. The child has additional needs including ADHD, Autism, and Global Developmental Delay, and requires consistent, structured support to help them engage, regulate, and make progress in the classroom.
