ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a therapeutic approach to work at a specialist school that supports students aged 11-19 years old with significant learning difficulties, autism and complex needs. The school is looking for someone who has supported in a similar setting or a recent graduate with a background in psychology. Alternatively, support workers from a learning difficulties background would be welcome to apply.
You will be supporting children aged 11+ years old with a number of additional behavioural needs, often classed as complex. Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and caring individual who can support children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups.
Located close to Failsworth, the school is easily accessed by public transport and major motorway networks.
The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants and support workers who have some experience in a similar role. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
