Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Wales, Ystrad Mynach, is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a local SEN provision with multiple shift patterns and opportunities available.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will provide 121 and small group support, assist teachers with classroom activities, and help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills in a safe, inclusive environment.

From £92.63 per day, Monday to Friday, with various full-time, part-time and day-to-day placements offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting children with SEN is desirable.
• All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide 121 and small group support to pupils.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Support pupils with their communication, social and emotional development.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and life skills.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Maintain a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
