Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated role to support SEN pupils at a Cranleigh campus. You will assist with teaching basic subjects and develop essential life skills for students aged 8 to 13, using multisensory communication methods and providing emotional support.

The position operates term-time with a 5 INSET days, on-site facilities, and comprehensive mentoring and training. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and access to transport due to semi-rural location.

Qualifications

• The ability to interpret information for students with a wide spectrum of ability.
• Confidence with written and oral communication, organizational skills and attention to detail for meeting tight deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of fundamental subjects (PSHE, numeracy, literacy) and support daily living skills.
• Use multi-sensory methods (signs, Makaton, symbols) to aid communication.
• Provide emotional guidance to help students manage frustration or anxiety and develop self-regulation.
• Collaborate with a supportive, mentoring team and participate in training for personal care roles.
