Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a partner school in the Warrington area. You will support pupils with additional learning needs, providing 1:1 assistance and small-group interventions.

Work alongside teachers and SEN professionals to create an inclusive, safe learning environment. A genuine passion for helping children, Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain), and two professional references are required.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Transferable experience from education, care, support work, mentoring, youth work, or similar sectors
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
• A minimum of two professional references, including one from your most recent employer

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support in line with work set by the class teacher
• Assisting with targeted interventions in subjects such as English, Maths, and Science
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Acting as a positive role model and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns in line with school policies
