Job summary

Greenacre School in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated Grade 4 Teaching Assistant to support our educational team and foster an inclusive learning environment for children aged 3 to 19 with complex needs.

The role involves preparing lessons, observing progress, and helping develop individual education plans, while supporting positive student interactions and classroom routines throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school or similar setting.
• MUST be educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• NVQ L3 qualification or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons.
• Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team on their development.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop individual education plans for students requiring additional support.
• Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.
• Completing records/ pupils plans.
• Leading small and whole class group work.
