Job summary

Randstad Education in Banstead is seeking a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism in an Outstanding ASD school. You will assist the teacher, deliver 1:1 and small-group activities, and help create an inclusive learning environment.

This full-time permanent role runs 8:30–16:30, Monday to Friday, during term time. Benefits include fully funded qualifications, on-site parking, and a supportive team focused on safety and development.

Qualifications

• Experience with learners with learning difficulties is desirable.
• GCSE Maths and English required.
• Willingness to build relationships with learners and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance to the teacher according to planning.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners in developing work.
• Support learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress under guidance of the teacher.
• Assist teachers with management strategies for a productive learning environment.
• Support learners across all curriculum areas.
