Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a positive, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding ASD school near Godstone. You will support students with autism aged 9–16 across KS2–KS4 in 1:1, small groups and class settings. Full training provided; 8:30–16:30, Monday–Friday, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with learning difficulties.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to education.
• Experience in SEND settings desirable.
• GCSE Maths and English required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance to the teacher as per planning (weekly/daily).
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners to develop work.
• Support learners' well-being within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate student learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers in managing a purposeful teaching environment.
• Support learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.
