The School and Role

An Alternative Provision school based in Southampton is currently seeking multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to start after May half term and in September. The school aims to provide a nurturing learning environment tailored to individual students, meeting a range of special educational needs. The goal is for all students to become healthy, creative, independent citizens, and well-prepared for adulthood.

SEN Teaching Assistant

• Full time
• Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Location: Southampton
• Start date – ASAP / September 2025
• Pay: £90 a day

The Role

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work 1-1 or in small classes, assisting pupils academically, overcoming barriers to learning, and supporting them emotionally.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with pupils with SEND/SEMH/challenging behaviour
• Passion for pupil progress
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Current DBS on the update service
• Full driving license
