Job summary

Mana Education is actively seeking SEN Teaching Assistants for opportunities in Chesterfield and surrounding areas, across Early Years to Post-16. Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term, long-term and permanent placements, with full-time or part-time hours.

We welcome applicants with experience in education, care, youth work or disability support. A TA qualification is welcome, but relevant experience may also fit depending on the school and role.

Qualifications

• Patience, reliability, clear communication and safeguarding are essential.
• Experience with visual supports, Makaton, PECS or positive behaviour approaches is welcome where relevant, but isn't required for every role.
• Relevant experience in education, care, youth work or disability support may also be suitable.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils access learning under the teacher's direction.
• Adapt resources and support communication.
• Build positive relationships and encourage participation.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Develop pupils' independence and social skills.
• Work with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Share observations to support individual targets and EHCP outcomes.
