Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for pupils with SEND, helping them engage with learning and participate in school life. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs and foster a supportive, inclusive environment.

The role involves supporting in-class activities, monitoring pupil wellbeing, and assisting with practical tasks to enable access to the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Provides tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Supports educational, social and physical needs to enable access to the curriculum.
• Works with staff to maintain an inclusive environment for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Uphold values and communicate a moral purpose centred on pupil growth and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to promote development and self-esteem.
• Track pupil progress and monitor health, behaviour and wellbeing; provide feedback as needed.
• Support in swimming and sports activities and accompany pupils on educational visits.
