Job summary

Inspire EHC is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Effingham, Surrey, supporting students aged 11-16 with ASC and helping them access the national curriculum with nurturing support.

This 40-hour weekly, term-time role runs 8:15am to 4:45pm/5pm on some days. Pay is £13.50–£15.50 per hour, with ongoing development and a path to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is essential.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above.
• Level 2 qualification in Teaching & Learning Support is desirable.
• Good safeguarding and child-protection understanding.

• Build positive relationships to help pupils feel safe and thrive.
• Encourage independence and personal development.
• Assist with lesson planning and resource preparation.
