Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Experience supporting students with SEN is desirable.
• A patient, nurturing and positive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Commitment to supporting individual learning and development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Assist students with accessing lessons and completing learning activities.
• Support students' social, emotional and academic development.
• Adapt support to meet individual needs.
• Work closely with teachers and other members of staff.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
