Job Title - SEN Teaching Assistant
Location - Crawley
Hours - 8:30 until 3:30
Start Date - September
Your new company
You will be working across different settings in our partnership schools, supporting pupils with their learning. The role will be based across KS1 to KS4, supporting pupils with their learning, including working 1:1 with pupils with SEN. You will be a supportive team member working together to provide the best learning support to enable pupils to access learning and progress, including providing specialist equipment where needed.
Your new role
You will work through key stage 1 to key stage 4; assisting the teacher and following directions to help re-engage students. You will distribute learning aids, help break down lessons, and work both 1:1 and within the classroom. You will adapt and tailor lessons for students with different needs, manage behaviour, and run breakout sessions when needed. You will liaise with colleagues to receive and deliver instructions and feedback.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential to have SEN experience, supported by examples and references. Passion for the role and a desire to improve education are vital. Experience of team teaching and managing behaviour is essential. You will help drive student performance and support their life skills development.
