Job summary

Ochil Tower School Ltd in Scotland is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the classroom and assist the teacher with documentation, resources and coursework preparation. The role also involves housing support during breaks and helping address challenging behaviour to maintain a structured daily routine.

We seek a motivated individual with genuine interest in young people, willing to work through difficult times with them, and able to be flexible and collaborative within the house

Qualifications

• SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7 preferred or equivalent.
• HNC Social Care preferable; or Certificate as a Classroom Assistant with commitment to achieve qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in classroom to achieve learning aims.
• Assist the teacher and prepare learning resources and coursework.
• Support in houses during breaks, lunch and rest hours as agreed.
• Address challenging behaviour and maintain a structured daily routine.
• Provide personal and medical care as required.
• Work as part of a team, showing care, empathy and flexibility.
