Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Barnsley & Rotherham is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in an inclusive learning environment.

Location: Barnsley & Rotherham. Full-Time, Part-Time or Flexible hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with competitive daily rates and weekly PAYE payments. Ongoing CPD and support from a dedicated South Yorkshire consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience with pupils with SEN is desirable.
• Patient, empathetic, proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN (autism, ADHD, speech/language difficulties).
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapt materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Support pupils with personal care and mobility where required.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure best outcomes.
