Job summary

Protocol Education in Banstead is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one and small group basis. You will work closely with the teacher to deliver tailored interventions and promote an inclusive classroom.

This role offers term-time hours, competitive daily pay, ongoing training, and a welcoming school community. An Enhanced DBS is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• A positive, patient, and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and tailored interventions.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals.
