Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is assisting a well-resourced SEN school in Loughton, Essex, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP. The school supports primary and secondary pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support, helping with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement, and following EHCP targets.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans
• Assist with personal care where required
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development
