Aspire People is actively recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Derby schools. This role focuses on supporting children with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential in a supportive learning environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with academic, social and emotional development, and collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs. A DBS check is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred).
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs.
• DBS update service (or willingness to obtain one through Aspire People).

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
• Support academic, social and emotional development.
• Work with class teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials.
