Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Derby. This role focuses on supporting children with SEN to reach their potential in a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include 1:1 and small group support, collaborating with teachers on IEPs, promoting positive behaviour, and adapting materials to pupil needs. DBS update service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN is required.
• DBS update service preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Patience, caring and resilience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Support academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs on IEPs.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning.
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt materials.
